Finals and Festivities
Written by: Benoît Ortalo-Magné · April 2026
This month’s newsletter is a short one. April was busy preparing for the final push to the end of the school year. With Sahar's first year almost complete, it feels like a big milestone is just around the corner.
We started off the month with Barrister’s Ball, which is basically law school prom, and the last big celebration before everyone has to focus on finals. We got dressed up in our best suits and dresses and had a great time in Sacramento. It was a nice way to de-stress.

The Sahar Scoop: The rest of the month has been finals mode for Sahar. She already finished her Property Law and Criminal Law finals, with Constitutional Law still to go. Its definitely been a demanding stretch, but the finish line is in sight!
The Benoit Blurb: I dusted off my running shoes and signed up for another marathon this October with a goal of beating my time from the last one. Not much to report other than that, work has been keeping me plenty busy.
We also had engagement photos taken, which made for a really special memory. We have to save the best ones for the wedding invitations but here's a preview!

That’s all for April. Next month, we’re looking forward to some well-earned vacation time and a chance to recharge. Can't wait!
